Bryan D. Smith, known also as Painter Bry, is a visual artist, muralist and storyteller working at the crossroads of street language and inner vision. His Paintings and Works intersect the space between:          --reflection and release -- the meditative and the chaotic  -- the cosmic and the everyday.

Some recurring themes are seen throughout the art: ORU Spiral Eye (the artist's maker's mark) "Observe, Report, Universally, a lens of awareness and self realization. The Divers, figures of surrender and curiosity; a visual rhythm of color, form, and movement that bridges graffiti instinct with painterly depth.

 

Every surface and medium from canvas, reclaimed wood, a once white or brick wall, carries its own history. Bryan builds on that history through layers of spray paint, acrylic, and enamel until a balance emerges, order and entropy holding hands for a moment. Bryan's practice embodies "Art for the Moment"
